Hot Fuzz might be my favorite Edgar Wright movie and my pick as the best in the Cornetto Trilogy. We’ve been hoping and praying for a sequel to happen and it looks like star Nick Frost is teasing a sequel on his Instagram account posing with Wright and Simon Pegg, suggesting that it has been greenlit. Although, we can’t tell if he’s being serious with the post.
UPDATE: Nick Frost was indeed messing around and has updated the post removing the original hashtag. Sorry folks.
While it would be fantastic to believe this on its own, Frost is also a comedian and could be just joking about a reunion. We’ll be optimistic this could be real but are also expecting this just to be a bit of British humor until officially announced.
Then again, I’ll keep my fingers crossed we get to see Danny in the big city.
As a former London constable, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf (Nick Frost) for a partner. However, when a series of grisly accidents rocks Sandford, Nick smells something rotten in the idyllic village.
