It looks like we have yet another addition the growing cast of Matt Reeves’ The Batman!
Collider is reporting that newcomer Jayme Lawson has nabbed an undisclosed role in the upcoming Batman reboot. However, this unlikely will sway people from speculating about her role (Rachel Dawes, Vicky Vale or Barbara Gordon?).
Up-and-coming actress Jayme Lawson, who recently graduated from Juilliard, has landed a notable role alongside Robert Pattinson in The Batman, Collider has exclusively learned.
Lawson’s role is being kept under wraps, but it’s a major get for the young actress, who is fresh out of Juilliard.
The cast so far includes Robert Pattinson (The Lighthouse, Tenet) as Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Zoe Kravitz (Mad Max: Fury Road, X-Men: First Class) as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright (Westworld, No Time To Die) as Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, Paul Dano (Looper, There Will Be Blood, Prisoners) as Edward Nashton aka The Riddler, Colin Farrell (Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them, The Lobster, Miami Vice) as Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin, Andy Serkis (Dawn of The Planet of The Apes, King Kong, Lord of The Rings Trilogy, Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi) in talks for the role of Alfred Pennyworth.
Filming is said to be kicking-off next year at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England.
Matt Reeves co-wrote the script with Mattson Tomlin, as it’s expected to become the first in a brand new trilogy.
The next big role to be filled is said to be Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.
Warner Bros. has given The Batman a summer release date of June 25th, 2021.
