20th Century Fox has dropped a brand new trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s The King’s Man, a prequel to the two Kingsman movies (based on the comic book created by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons) that features the origin of the agency in the wake of The Great War aka World War I.
This new trailer explains some of the characters who are original members of the Kingsman including Gemma Arterton’s Polly and Djimon Hounsou’s Shola. Harris Dickinson’s Conrad is seemingly the newest addition to the team after being recruited by Ralph Fiennes’ Duke of Oxford.
Watch the brand new trailer below.
As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in The King’s Man.
The film’s cast consists of Ralph Fiennes as Duke of Oxford, Harris Dickinson as Conrad, Gemma Arterton as Polly, Daniel Bruhl, Charles Dance as Arthur, Stanley Tucci, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Lee Unwin, Djimon Hounsou as Shola, Matthew Goode as Tristan, Tom Hollander, and Rhys Ifans as Rasputin.
HN Entertainment exclusively revealed a while back that Alexandra Maria Lara (Rush) and Joel Basman (Hanna, Papillon) would have roles in the comic book prequel.
Matthew Vaughn has confirmed that Kingsman 3 is still going to happen and will complete the Eggsy/Harry relationship. Assuming that if The King’s Man is a hit they’ll pursue more prequels to keep the franchise going as Disney has stated publicly they want to keep making these movies.
Disney/Fox has set The King’s Man release date for February 14th, 2020, which is a week after Margot Robbie’s DC Comics movie Birds of Prey is unleashed and was the former release date of Daniel Craig’s No Time To Time before moving to April.
