Keanu Reeves is a busy dude and he’s now been revealed as taking a role in the upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077 from developer CD Projekt Red via a brand new cinematic trailer for the game revealed at E3 2019.
His addition to the game makes a lot of sense given that Reeves has starred in two of the most famous cyberpunk Hollywood films with The Matrix trilogy and the less successful cult film Johnny Mnemonic, written by cyberpunk author William Gibson.
In the most dangerous megacity of the future, the real you is not enough. Become V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant — the key to immortality. Customize your cyberware and skillset, and explore a vast city of the future obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. The choices you make will determine the story and shape the world around you.
The game is fantastic looking and hopefully can live up the hype from the previous gameplay reveal which you can watch below. Cyberpunk is certainly a great backdrop for a game like this and I can’t help notice the many elements/visual cues taken from the Judge Dredd movie Dredd.
They also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on April 16th, 2020 and is currently available for Pre-Order.
