New ‘Austin Powers 4’ Status Update From Mike Myers

It was kind of nice to see Austin Powers star Mike Myers out making the press rounds this year to promote his films Terminal and Bohemian Rhapsody.

He’s been seemingly deeply involved in writing a script for a fourth installment in the Austin Powers series and has been giving some brief status updates on the project.

Speaking with Access, Mike revealed that things are ”looking good” with the script and that he’s waiting on a busy Jay Roach, who is directing his Roger Alles film starring Charlize Theron and Margot Robbie.

There is even a chance that there could end up being a Dr. Evil movie at some point. Back in May, Mike told EntertainmentTonight that he wanted to tackle a movie from the perspective of Dr. Evil.

“It’s a very, very wonderful, entertaining — I can’t even talk about it, there’s so many twists and turns,” he told ET. “You’ll have to see it, there’s so many twists and turns. I don’t even know quite how to explain it without giving away everything.”

“I would love to do a movie from Dr. Evil’s perspective. So it would be Dr. Evil 1, Austin Powers 4, is how I would roll,” he said. “Start the campaign, please. Thank you.”

Mike recently appeared as Evil on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon for an election skit and it was great to see him back in character.
