Now that Netflix has finally made it official that The Umbrella Academy will get a second season, we now have some production dates for the comic book streaming series. HN Entertainment has learned that the second season will begin filming on June 17th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is expected to complete the shoot on November 15th.

Our pals at OmegaUnderground first revealed that Netflix had greenlit a second season before the first one had even aired.

Audiences really seemed to dig the series so it’ll be interesting to see how long Netflix will keep it going.

A disbanded group of superheroes reunites after their adoptive father, who trained them to save the world, dies.

On the same day in October 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world. But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded. Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves’ passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya, and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father’s death. But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.

Why share the exact dates? The only people who would be interested in that are stalkers who are planning to meet the cast by any means. Think about their safety; the rest of us aren’t even interested in all that, “from June to November” is good and specific enough.
