The Netflix film Red Notice has officially started shooting according to an Instagram post from Dwayne Johnson. The original action flick from Skydance also stars Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman 1984) and Ryan Reynolds (Free Guy, Deadpool 2).

JOHNSON: “Day 1 of shooting our RED NOTICE has officially begun for @Netflix. Me and my friends Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot are on the move. In the world of international crime, an Interpol issued RED NOTICE is a global alert to hunt down and capture the worlds most wanted. The world’s greatest art thief. The world’s greatest tracker. The worlds greatest conman.”

The film is an international action thriller centered around the pursuit of the most wanted art thief in the world. It takes place in multiple countries.

We previously revealed the film’s crew would include production designer Andy Nicholson (Captain Marvel, Gravity, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) and cinematographer Markus Forderer (Skyscrapper, Independence Day: Resurgence), the latter now confirmed.

Filming is said to be taking place in Atlanta, London, and Italy with a rather large budget of $130 million-plus.

Other casting additions to the action flick are likely coming very soon.

Netflix has yet to give Red Notice a release date but is expected to drop sometime in 2021.
