HN Entertainment has learned that art director Jason Knox-Johnson is expected to join the production team on Netflix’s action movie Red Notice starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds.
His supervising art director credits include Netflix’s Mowgli: Legend of The Jungle, Netflix’s Outlaw King, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Allied, Transformers: The Last Night, and Johnson’s Hercules.
Other projects as an art director include Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Martian, Edge of Tomorrow, Skyfall, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Production on Red Notice has been confirmed for England.
We’re currently leaning towards filming taking place at Shepperton Studios (part of the Pinewood Group) in Surrey, England. The facility was recently used on Netflix’s upcoming comic book action movie The Old Guard starring Charlize Theron (Atomic Blonde, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange, 12 Years A Slave).
It was also previously used for Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Shaw along with Ryan Reynolds’ Life.
The streaming service hopes to get cameras rolling early next year.
Johnson also is expected to shoot his DC Comics film Black Adam sometime next year with director Jaume Collet-Serra now attached.
Red Notice originally had a release date of November 13th, 2020, but that date might change.
