Netflix Drops The First Trailer For ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 – The Kids Are Growing Up As A New Threat Arises From The Upside Down

The kids are back!

Netflix has dropped the very first footage from the third season of their massively popular science fiction horror series Stranger Things, which is directly inspired by the works of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg. The series’ popularity has grown to a fever pitch since the first season drew in one of the largest audiences on the streaming platform.

The trailer seems to be showing how Hawkins is expanding with the new addition of the mall in town along with the kids moving into the phase of young adults and the upside down is, of course, making a comeback with a brand new monster that may or may not be one of the characters transformed.

Steve and Dustin seem to still have a budding friendship going on as well.

They’re also fully embracing the neon and spandex of the ’80s as we can see that the Duffer Brothers are going for a more colorful and bright look for this season compared to the last two which will be an interesting contrast for sure.

There has been some chatter that show might not have many seasons left as the cast and even The Duffer Brothers may want to move more in the realm of feature films. Millie Bobby Brown is taking a lead role in Godzilla: King of The Monsters, Finn Wolfhard has a key role in IT: Chapter 2 and recently landed a lead role in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters sequel, and David Harbour is playing Hellboy in a new reboot of the comic book franchise.

Netflix will be dropping the entire third season of Stranger Things on July 4th.
