Yet another casting addition to James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad as Deadline reports that Canadian actor Nathan Fillion will take a role.
We’re also hearing that Nathan Fillion will be starring in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad at Warner Bros.
The actor’s role is being kept under wraps.
Nathan and James have previously worked together multiple times over the years including in his feature film debut Slither and had cameos in the last two Guardians of The Galaxy movies.
Figuring they’re all expendable, a U.S. intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous, incarcerated supervillains for a top-secret mission.
The returning cast is Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag. The new additions are reportedly Idris Elba, Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher, David Dastmalchian as Polka-Dot Man, John Cena, and possibly Storm Reid as Elba’s daughter.
Comedians Flula Borg and Steve Agee also took roles recently as well, Agee playing King Shark.
The Suicide Squad is set to begin filming next month in Atlanta and then will be released on August 6th, 2021.
