HN Entertainment has learned that special effects supervisor Neil Corbould is expected to return after working on Mission: Impossible – Fallout for the next two installments set to shoot at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England next year along with multiple secondary locations across the globe.
Neil’s other credits include Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Morbius, The Martian, Gravity, Alien: Covenant, and Terminator: Dark Fate.
The current official lineup for the cast of the two sequels includes Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep, Dune), Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Captain America: The First Avenger), Pom Klementieff(Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2, Avengers: Infinity War).
Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 are going to be made back-to-back
Paramount has given them the release dates of July 23rd, 2021 and August 5th, 2022.
Tom Cruise’s next film will be Top Gun: Maverick released on June 26th, 2020 and director Doug Liman is hoping that Crusie will be able to make his Edge of Tomorrow sequel after he completed the Mission: Impossible sequels.
Rogue Nation and Fallout had direct connections, so there is an expectation that writer/director Christopher McQuarrie will continue that with these next two movies.
There had been rumblings that both Alec Baldwin and Henry Cavill could be returning in some capacity (possibly in flashbacks).
