HN Entertainment previously confirmed that filming on Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 would be returning to England for the primary production.
We are now hearing that they will indeed return to Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Watford, England.
Something we believed could be a possibility, but now have information that supports it shooting there. Paramount and director Christopher McQuarrie previously shot both Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout at the British facility.
There is a good shot that filming could kick-off in spring/summer depending on scheduling with other films.
Fantastic Beasts 3 and The Batman are said to be shooting there in 2020.
Fast and Furious 9 just completed there UK shoot which included scenes at WB Studios, which gives Sony’s Venom 2 wiggle-room to shoot scenes this fall.
McQuarrie is back as writer/director on the two films that are said to be shooting back-to-back.
The newest addition to the cast is Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Captain America: The First Avenger), who confirmed on Instagram she will be featured in both installments.
Rebecca Ferguson is also set to reprise the role of Ilsa Faust but will shoot the science fiction film Reminesice first in New Orleans this fall, and she’ll be co-starring with Hugh Jackman (Logan, The Prestige) in the Warner Bros. flick directed by Lisa Joy (Westworld).
We’ll keep our fingers crossed that Fallout’s Angela Bassett and Vanessa Kirby return as well.
Director Doug Liman has suggested that he hopes that once Tom Cruise completes Misson: Impossible 7-8 that he can make the Edge of Tomorrow (original was shot at WB Studios) sequel.
Paramount Pictures has given the two untitled sequels release dates a year apart on July 23rd, 2021 and August 5th, 2022
Tom’s next big action film coming out will be Top Gun: Maverick out on June 26th, 2020.
