A Crazy Rich Asians reunion is on the way, as Michelle Yeoh will join Henry Golding in the holiday comedy Last Christmas. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is also set to star.
The film set in London, follows Kate (Clarke) an elf in a year-round Christmas shop, who begins dating Tom (Golding), a guy who seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of her barriers.
Yeoh will play Kate’s boss “Santa” who is going through her own relationship struggles.
Aside from the great cast, Last Christmas is getting us excited with its great crew. The movie will be and directed and co-produced by Paul Feig, who previously helmed Bridesmaids, and all-female Ghostbusters and created the much-loved TV show Freaks and Geeks. Two time Academy Award-winning actress Emma Thompson is writing the script with Bryony Kimmings.
The film feature the music of George Michael, including the holiday classic of the same name, and will also premiere unreleased material.
Production on the film will begin on December 3, and will shoot through late February 2019. Last Christmas will hit theaters on November 15, 2019.
