Take the following with a grain of salt, as I haven’t been able to confirm but I’m hearing that Shang-Chi supporting character Clive Reston is expected to appear in the solo film directed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
Unconfirmed but I'm hearing there is a good chance that Clive Reston will show up in the SHANG-CHI movie.
In the comics, he's an MI-6 Agent, not sure if that is how he'll be presented in the movie given the updates they'll be making and how Hong Kong severed ties to the UK.

We don’t know how big or small the part could be.
In the original comics, Reston was with MI-6 and helped connect Shang-Chi to the British agency via Hong Kong. Given that in modern times Hong Kong and the UK have severed their ties there is a good shot that Reston could be C.I.A. instead, but that is simply my speculation given that Sharon Carter and Everett Ross have previously established the C.I.A. mingling with superheroes outside of the United States.
There is a good chance that the film will indeed play-up the hero’s spy origins.
Filming is officially taking place at Fox Studios Australia in Sydney, New South Wales Australia.
The cast so far includes Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tony Leung as The Mandarin, and Awkwafina as an unnamed female lead.
Marvel Studios announced last month Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings will be released on February 12th, 2021.
