Last year, HN Entertainment was able to confirm that a portion of the filming of Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther 2 would be returning stateside and we have now obtained new information pointing towards the production is indeed returning to Atlanta, Georgia.
MarvelFlix had been teasing their return to Pinewood Atlanta Studios recently on Twitter after potentially mixing things up with Guardians of The Galaxy 3.
Something we can now back-up with our sourcing.
However, the original film shot at multiple stages including Tyler Perry Studios and EUE/Screen Gem Studios, which allows them to give breathing room to the Disney+ productions if Marvel Studios chooses to do so.
I wouldn’t be shocked if they used Pinewood sparingly.
Production is expected to begin sometime in 2021 as well as Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man 3 (shooting in England and San Francisco, California).
There had been a rumor about filming heading to Australia such as Shang-Chi and Thor: Love & Thunder, but I’ve been unable to confirm that information with Australian sources.
I’m not saying that Black Panther 2 won’t shoot in the land down under but simply considering it a rumor for the moment until it can be verified.
Given the film’s May 6th, 2022 release date filming starting between January-May is a good bet to make.
