After years in development, Marvel is finally moving forward with Power Pack as a Disney+ series.

We can confirm that an animated series based on the popular kid superheroes is in the works for the streamer. Previous reports about Power Pack source all the way back to Charles Murphy of ThatHashtagShow, and our friends at MCU Cosmic. I dropped a vague tweet teasing the news right when I heard about it a couple of days ago, which you can see below. Our pal Daniel Richtman also mentioned the news on Twitter today.

For those unfamiliar with this group of characters, they were created back in the mid 80’s by Louise Simonson, comprised of four siblings who are granted superpowers after they are exposed to a dying alien from the Kymellian species.

This certainly sounds like a fun idea for a series, as it could be something in the vein of Spy Kids mixed with the Marvel universe. They also eventually crossover with Franklin and Valeria Richards, the children of Fantastic Four members Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Power Pack will be joining a very ambitious slate of original series that Marvel is developing for Disney+ over the next few years.
