Marvel Studios’ ‘Ant-Man 3’ Is Indeed Going To Happen

Recently, it was revealed by Charles Murphy (Murphy’s Law Podcast) that a third Ant-Man 3 was in development stages at Marvel Studios.

HN Entertainment looked into the claims made over the weekend and according to our own secondary sourcing this is indeed correct, Ant-Man 3 is going to happen folks.

However, the project has yet to be officially announced by Marvel Studios/Disney and while it was suggested that filming could begin in 2021 for a release date in 2022, that has yet to be confirmed.

But we can confirm that Ant-Man 3 will shoot within the United States.

What that film looks like is currently a mystery, the assumption is that director Peyton Reed would return to round out a trilogy.

We also have to believe that the cast will include Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne/Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and Emma Fuhrmann as the older version of Cassie Lang.

I don’t see them having a massive shake-up with the existing cast.

Although, Peyton Reed has teased interest in convincing Rick Moranis (Ghostbusters, SCTV, Little Shop of Horrors, Space Balls) to play Scott’s father.

Ant-Man 3 would be expected to take place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

While the last two films weren’t billion-dollar hits on their own, the combined box office total is $1.142 billion.

I’m curious if Marvel will add another superhero/supporting character in the mix as that has helped boost audience attendance with sequels like Thor: Ragnarok, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and is happening with Scarlet Witch taking a substantial role in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness.

It’ll be interesting to see how long Marvel Studios/Disney will stay quiet about the project.

Other MCU movies on the horizon include Black Widow, Eternals, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder, Black Panther 2, Guardians of The Galaxy 3, Blade (still needs writer/director announcements) and Captain Marvel 2 (still needs writer/director announcements).

Deadpool 3 is also a strong possibility coming in the near future after Ryan Reynolds posted a picture of a visit to the Marvel Studios offices.
