Collider is reporting that Steven Soderbergh’s next film titled Kill Switch will be a crime drama set in the 1950s with actors Sebastian Stan, Don Cheadle, and Josh Brolin circling lead roles in the project penned by screenwriter Ed Solomon.
Marvel men Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle and Sebastian Stan are in discussions to star in Steven Soderbergh‘s next film, which is a 1950s crime drama set in Detroit titled Kill Switch, sources tell Collider. Ed Solomon (Men in Black) wrote the spec script, which would cast Brolin, Cheadle and Stan as criminals who carry out a home invasion, only to wonder if they’ve been double-crossed.
Don is no stranger to Steven Soderbergh working with him on films such as Out of Sight, Traffic, and the three Ocean’s 11 movies. He’s also known for the War Machine role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Josh Brolin most notably returned to the role of Thanos earlier this year in the box office juggernaut Avengers: Endgame and recently took a franchise role Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. He would likely be returning for the Dune sequel currently in development if his character survives the first installment.
Sebastian recently completed work on the Simon Kinberg spy flick 335 and recently started shooting the Disney+ series The Falcon & The Winter Soldier last month in Atlanta, Georgia (set to air in fall 2020).
We’re excited to see Steven returning to the crime genre, comedy or not.
