Warner Bros. Animation Group’s fully-animated Scooby-Doo reboot Scoob is putting together quite the cast as it is being reported that Mark Wahlberg and Jason Isaacs are the newest additions to the ensemble.
According to Deadline, Wahlberg has been cast as the classic Hannah-Barbera superhero Blue Falcon. Blue Falcon’s faithful sidekick is Dynomutt, who is being voiced by Ken Jeong. Meanwhile, Issacs will voice longtime Hanna-Barbera villain, Dick Dastardly, Dastardly also has a loyal canine companion of his own named Muttley, though it remains to be seen who will voice the mischievous hound.
The movie will follow the Mystery Inc. gang as they “join forces with other heroes of the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from Dick Dastardly and his evil plans…and this time, we are told, the threat is real.”
Wahlberg and Isaacs join a previously announced cast that includes Zac Efron as Fred, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Will Forte as Shaggy, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo, and Kiersey Clemons as Dee Dee Skyes. The film will be directed by Tony Cervone.
Scoob is expected to hit theaters on May 15, 2020.
