We’re about two weeks away from the production start on Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) as filming begins next month. We now have an idea when filming is expected to be completed. HN Entertainment has learned that filming on Birds of Prey is expected to complete around April 13th.

As I first reported, filming begins mid-January in Los Angeles, California.

Director Cathy Yan and producer/star Margot Robbie have confirmed they are aiming to make an R-rated comic book film.

Birds of Prey will see Harley Quinn team up with DC Comics heroines Huntress and Black Canary against Batman antagonist Black Mask to save a young Cassandra Cain from his grasp.

Joining Robbie on the film’s cast includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli aka Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance aka Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, and Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz.

Birds of Prey’s production team consists of cinematographer Matthew Libatique (Iron Man 1-2, Venom), production designer K.K. Barrett, supervising art director Kasra Farahani, stunt coordinator Jonathan Eusebio, and fight coordinator Jon Valera.

Shazam! is the next DC Comics film to be released and is coming out on April 5th.

The release date for Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) has been set for February 7th, 2020.
