Moments ago we posted what looks to be merchandise promo artwork for Star Wars: Episode IX that might confirm the return of The Knights of Ren and now another round of character art leaks may have confirmed some character names as well.
Yet another post from Reddit, seems to be clearly character artwork, likely going to be used on toy packaging and other materials. A helmeted character named “ZORII” very well could be Keri Russell’s character and we can clearly see an unmasked Naomie Ackie as her character is named “JANNAH”.
What little we do know about Keri Russell’s character is that she will be action heavy and have a lot of stunt work involved. A little less I believe is known about Ackie’s Jannah and I don’t think it would be the best idea to jump to conclusions of her being the daughter of Lando just yet.
If we’re asked to take this image down by Disney it will likely confirm that it is real.
Star Wars Celebration is next month in Chicago and we’ll likely get some character confirmations along with the film’s title and the first trailer. I think with the Skywalker Saga coming to a close Lucasfilm will be attempting to make the reveals a little more contained to Celebration, in my opinion.
Disney has set the release date for Star Wars: Episode IX for December 20th, 2019.
