Marvel Studios had big slate reveal at San Diego Comic-Con and while speaking with MTVNews, Kevin Feige might have slipped-up by adding an extra project to the Phase 4 lineup. Saying there are eleven projects in Phase 4, however, only announcing ten.
FEIGE: “…I was like, I think eleven projects in two years is plenty.”
Marvel only announced these 10 projects for Phase 4 during their presentation.
- Black Widow
- Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings
- Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness
- Thor: Love and Thunder
- The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
- What If?
#AvengersEndgame was the end of an era, and #Marvel Studios president #KevinFeige confirmed to us at #ComicCon that the next class of @Avengers will be a “very different team than we’ve seen before." We also asked if Phase 4 of the #MCU might be planting some big clues ? #SDCC pic.twitter.com/4mxOTmmJ0u

There is one project that could be in Phase 4 that possibly Marvel Studios wasn’t able to announce at their studio-specific presentation. That being the untitled Spider-Man 3 movie which has been assumed would happen given that Spider-Man: Far From Home has crossed a billion dollars at the global box office, giving Sony Pictures their second billion-dollar hit after Skyfall.
I don’t see Sony Pictures waiting 2-3 years given the success of the movie and the big cliffhanger that Far From Home ends on.
Given the ages of the actors, it would be assumed that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures would want to get the third film into development/production sooner rather than later, so it is still believable that these actors are in high school.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see if it was simply a flub or learn what this 11th project.
