Toy Story 4 is quickly adding some interesting new voice talent to the roster. It was revealed by a second teaser trailer that Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key would be lending their voices for a pair of carnival prize characters named Bunny and Ducky.
Now, there is another new voice actor being named by Buzz Lightyear himself Tim Allen while on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Allen naming action star Keanu Reeves, currently known for the John Wick franchise. There is a good chance Reeves could be playing a mysterious new toy named “Forky”.
“They really will surprise you with the toys they came up with,” Allen said. “Characters came back, new guys in it that are great. Keanu Reeves has got a great part.”
“Actually, a little inside story [about Reeves]: Even he said — gentle, wonderful guy that he is — ‘This sounds too much like Buzz Lightyear.’ And his character does have an edge to that. And the guy said, ‘So we calmed him down a little bit,’ and they reminded me his toy is only that big.”
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy.
Woody’s journey in “Toy Story 4” includes a visit to a carnival where he meets Ducky and Bunny, two carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted by Woody and his friends, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.
Toy Story 4 has been given the release date of June 21st, 2019.
