It’s official Warner Bros. and Lana Wachowski are returning to the Matrix!
Today, Warner Bros. and top brass announced that a fourth Matrix film is happening with Lana Wachowski directing along with Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss reprising their roles of Neo and Trinity for the sequel.
Lana wrote the new script with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell.
DiscussingFilm and GWW originally revealed Lana Wachowski would be returning for a new Matrix movie under the working title Project Ice Cream.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum director Chad Stahelski first let the news slip during the press tour of his own movie.
Filming will begin filming in early 2020.
It will be interesting to see what their angle will be given how Matrix: Revolutions ended.
A release date wasn’t mentioned but releasing sometime in 2021 is a good bet.
