TheHollywoodReporter has just revealed Karen Gillan’s follow-up to Avengers: Endgame coming this April and the upcoming Jumanji sequel set for release in December. As she’ll continue her action roles but this time in a more mature venture as the project titled Gunpowder Milkshake will be directed by Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the Israeli directing duo behind the foreign language revenge thriller Big Bad Wolves.
Guardians of the Galaxy and Jumanji star Karen Gillan has signed on to topline Gunpowder Milkshake, an action thriller from Studiocanal and The Picture Company. Aharon Keshales and Navot Papushado, the duo behind the dark Israeli breakout Big Bad Wolves, are directing the project. The pair also wrote the script with Ehud Lavski.
Script details are being kept muzzled but the project is described as being in the assassin genre in a story that spans multiple generations. The entire cast is envisioned as being all female with Gillan the cornerstone.
They add they hope to begin filming Gunpowder Milkshake this spring in Berlin.
Gillan first made a splash with supporting role on Doctor Who but made herself known internationally when she starred in a string of films from Marvel Studios including Guardians of The Galaxy, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2, and Avengers: Infinity War along with Sony’s big hit Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.
Karen is yet another cast member finding projects to shoot over the spring/summer while Guardians of The Galaxy 3 is currently seeking a new director.
