Back in October, HN Entertainment was the first to reveal that the working title of Jurassic World 3 would be Arcadia (a title used during the filming), a reference to the boat from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that brought the surviving dinosaurs to the mainland.
We were also able to confirm that filming would be returning to Pinewood Studios UK in England for a main stage facility portion of the production’s shoot.
Now, we’ve been able to confirm recent production news that Jurassic World 3 would be shooting scenes in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada from February to March.
Those dates are February 24th to March 6th, which isn’t terribly long.
There is an expectation that they’ll be using various spots in the area to double for Northern California, as in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom that is the location of the manor where the dinosaur auction was being held.
Jurassic World 3 will explore a world where dinosaurs are now on the roaming the mainland (California) after the volcanic eruption destroyed the island.
Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow is back as director and co-wrote the film’s script with Emily Carmichael.
The returning cast so far includes Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Daniella Pineda, and Justice Smith.
It’ll be interesting to see if the original Jurassic Park cast will be getting more than cameos in the film.
Newcomers to the film are actors DeWanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie.
Universal Pictures has set Jurassic World 3’s release date for June 11th, 2021.
