With filming on Jurassic World 3 ramping up in Vancouver, British Columbia there are two more cast additions to the sixth installment in the Jurassic Park franchise.
Deadline reports that Amblin Entertainment and Universal Pictures has now added actors Dichen Lachman (Altered Carbon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Scott Haze (Venom, Antlers) to the dinosaur action flick.
HN Entertainment has previously reported that the film under the working title of Arcadia would be mainly shooting at Pinewood Studios UK in Buckinghamshire, England.
The same facility used for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Black Widow, No Time To Die, Morbius, and most recently Eternals. Other projects that will be using those stages soon alongside Jurassic World 3 include The Little Mermaid and Sony’s Cinderella.
The rest of the cast so far consists of Chris Pratt (Avengers: Infinity War, Guardians of The Galaxy), Bryce Dallas Howard (Black Mirror, Spider-Man 3), Sam Neill (Hunt For The Wilderpeople), Laura Dern (Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Jeff Goldblum (Thor: Ragnarok), Daniella Pineda (Cowboy Bebop), Justice Smith (Detective Pikachu), DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie (Underwater), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World, New Girl, The Mummy), and Omar Sy (X-Men: Days of Future Past).
This new film will deal with the fallout from Jurassic: Fallen Kingdom when some of the dinosaurs are rescued from the island after a disastrous volcanic eruption only to be sold off to the highest bidder and then at the end have escaped into the wild of the mainland.
Jurassic World 3 will be directed by Colin Trevorrow with Universal Pictures setting its release date for June 11th, 2021.
It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.
When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission.
Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.
