Back in May, Deadline revealed that Jordan Peele (Twilight Zone, Us, Get Out) would be producing via his production company Monkeypaw Productions a 10-episode series titled The Hunt for Amazon.
The period drama would be set in 1977 New York City and focus on a group of Nazi Hunters and we’ve learned when filming begins on the show. HN Entertainment has learned from a source that filming on The Hunt will begin on February 20th in New York City, New York.
The Hunt follows a diverse band of Nazi Hunters living in 1977 New York City. The Hunters, as they’re known, have discovered that hundreds of high ranking Nazi officials are living among us and conspiring to create a Fourth Reich in the U.S. The eclectic team of Hunters will set out on a bloody quest to bring the Nazis to justice and thwart their new genocidal plans.
Fury actor Logan Lerman was reported as being in talks for the leading role of Jason Heidelbaum.
Logan Lerman is in talks to star in the drama series as Jonah Heidelbaum. When his grandmother is slain by a mysterious intruder in their apartment, Jonah sets out to track the culprit, only to find himself swept up in the mysterious organization known as The Hunt, a group of justice-seeking individuals dedicated to rooting out the Nazi murderers living in the U.S. under assumed identities.
Amazon has yet to reveal a release date for The Hunt.
