TheHollywoodReporter has revealed that British actress Jessica Henwick (Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Godzilla vs Kong, Iron Fist) has joined Dylan O’Brien in the Paramount Players film Monster Problems.
Jessica Henwick, who played Colleen Wing on Netflix’s Marvel shows Iron Fist and The Defenders will star opposite Dylan O’Brien in Monster Problems, the romance-tinged sci-fi feature from Paramount Players.
Written by Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson, the project is a coming-of-age story about a young man (O’Brien) living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters who travels through a hostile environment to find the girl of his dreams. Henwick will play the girl, who has a lot more going on than what initially is seen.
Guardians of The Galaxy actor Michael Rooker will play Clyde in the film.
Rooker will play Clyde, an expert hunter who teaches Joel Dawson (O’Brien) how to survive the Monster Apocalypse.
HN Entertainment has also learned that they’ve added stunt coordinator Glenn Suter, whose credits include Ghost In The Shell, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Suicide Squad. He most recently worked on the upcoming Lupita Nyong’o zombie flick Little Monsters (image above) that was something of a crowd pleaser recently at the Sundance Film Festival.
Filming is confirmed to be taking place at Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
A release date for Monster Problems has yet to be announced.
