TheHollywoodReporter has learned that Jeffrey Wright (Westworld, No Time To Die) is in negotiations to play Gotham Police Department’s Commissioner Jim Gordon.
Westworld star Jeffrey Wright is in negotiations to play Commissioner Gordon, the classic ally to the Dark Knight, in Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Robert Pattinson is headlining what is being planned as a grounded take on as the DC Comics crime-fighter. Casting is in early stages for a who’s who of Batman’s rogue gallery.
Wright is a seasoned actor and is likely best known for his recent role as Bernard Lowe in the HBO series Westworld.
Oscar-winners Gary Oldman and J.K. Simmons had previously played Jim Gordon.
Warner Bros. has set the film’s release date for June 25th, 2021.
