‘Infinity War/Endgame’ Cinematographer Trent Opaloch Expected To Reunite With The Russo Bros. For ‘Cherry’ Starring Tom Holland

It doesn’t look like the Russo Brothers will be slowing down anytime soon as their next film will be titled Cherry and according to trade reports such as the one from Variety, Spider-Man star Tom Holland will take on the lead role of a former Army medic that turns to bank robbery after returning home from Iraq.

“Cherry” parallels the true life story of the author, a former Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD, fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks.

HN Entertainment has learned that cinematographer Trent Opaloch (District 9, Elysium, Chappie) is now expected to reunite with the directing duo for the film. Trent has previously shot their Marvel movies Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Filming is expected to begin this summer with a potential 2020 release date.

I’m a little curious if we’ll be seeing another Marvel actors jumping onto the cast lineup.

The Russos have suggested they’d like to return to Marvel Studios eventually and with the merger finalized will have plenty of new characters to play with Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, the X-Men including one of their admitted favorite mutants, Wolverine. They’ve also teased an interest to tackle the Secret War as a possible event film they’d be interested in doing next when the time was right.

Their latest collaboration Avengers: Endgame releases domestically on April 26th and is looking to have a massive $840 million-plus global debut next month.
