Will Smith and Joel Edgerton will be reprising their roles.
Louis had recently worked with the streaming service for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the prequel series of the beloved Jim Henson film.
Despite a weak critical response the film boasting strong viewing numbers for Netflix, which would explain why the sequel is moving forward.
Bright is essentially a fantasy version of the classic sci-fi cop film Alien Nation, skewing more in the action-comedy genre. Louis’ work with The Dark Crystal would certainly allow him to explore another fantasy project.
