It looks like we finally have our main lead in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters movie set within the cannon. TheHollywoodReporter reveals that young actress Mckenna Grace (I, Tonya, Captain Marvel) has landed the unnamed main lead of the film.
Grace has nabbed a starring role in the new supernatural adventure movie from Sony that is serving as a sequel to the original Ghostbusters movies made in the 1980s by Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman’s father
Grace has been described as the ostensible lead, with Wolfhard playing her brother and Coon her single mother.

Mckenna will play the youngest of two siblings with Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) playing her brother and Carrie Coon (Gone Girl, Fargo) playing their single mother. The family moves back to small town trying and things get spooky from there.
HN Entertainment first revealed character details and that this young girl role would be the leading role of the film. Now confirmed by the trade outlet. The character is socially awkward and has troubling connecting with her peers, we posted an audition with the young girl attempting to tell jokes.
Filming is expected to take place this summer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Sony Pictures has Ghostbusters’ release date for July 10th, 2020.
