Holt McCallany Takes Lead Role Opposite Jason Statham In Guy Ritchie’s Thriller ‘Cash Truck’

Deadline reports that Guy Ritchie’s Cash Truck will now add Holt McCallany in a lead role opposite Jason Statham.

Mindhunter star Holt McCallany has been cast as a lead opposite Jason Statham in Cash Truck. The revenge-based action thriller from Miramax reteams Statham and Guy Ritchie, who is writing and directing based on the 2004 French film Le Convoyeur.

Holt will play a character named Bullet while Jason plays H.

Statham stars as H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash-truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week. Weaving through a carefully constructed narrative, the film shifts across timelines and among various characters’ perspectives.

The veteran character is likely best known for his Netflix series Mindhunter but also had roles in David Fincher’s Alien 3 and Fight Club.

They also say that filming will move from London, England to Los Angeles, California (with filming starting next month which conflicts with our own info).

We previously reported that cinematographer Alan Stewart (Aladdin, The Gentleman) and production designer Martyn John (The Last Kingdom) have been added to the production team.

Ritchie’s Aladdin earned a massive billion dollars at the box office and his next film the Gentleman is set for release on January 24th, 2020.

THE GENTLEMEN follows American expat Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) who built a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he’s looking to cash out of the business forever it triggers plots, schemes, bribery and blackmail in an attempt to steal his domain out from under him (featuring an all-star ensemble cast including Charlie Hunnam, Henry Golding, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant).
