We’ve been able to confirm some production team members on the upcoming Paramount Players monster flick Monster Problems, which stars Dylan O’Brien (American Assassin, Maze Runner), Michael Rooker (Guardians of The Galaxy, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2), and Jessica Henwick (Godzilla vs Kong, Iron Fist, Game of Thrones, Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

A coming-of-age story about a young man Joel Dawson (O’Brien) living in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters who travels through a hostile environment to find the girl of his dreams (Henwick), who has a lot more going on than what initially is seen. Clyde (Rooker), an expert hunter teaches Joel how to survive the Monster Apocalypse.

Production designer Dan Hannah recently spoke at a Screen Queensland industry event which included some of the production team from Monster Problems, confirming his involvement. Dan’s credits include The Hobbit Trilogy, Thor: Ragnarok, and Mortal Engines. As an art director, he worked on The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, The Frighteners, and King Kong.

We’ve also been able to confirm that cinematographer Lachlan Milne is working on the film too, who has worked on The Hunter For The Wilderpeople, Little Monsters, and Season 3 of Netflix’s Stranger Things.

Previously, HN revealed they had hired stunt coordinator Glenn Suter, whose credits include Ghost In The Shell, Mad Max: Fury Road, Little Monsters, and Suicide Squad.

Production on Monster Problems began last month at Screen Queensland Studios in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

An official release date has yet to be announced.
