HBO’s popular comedy series is now said to be returning to production this summer as we’ve learned some production dates for Silicon Valley. HN Entertainment has learned that Season 6 is now set to begin on June 25th with an expectation that filming will wrap on September 20th. Locations, of course, include Los Angeles and San Francisco, California.
Follows the struggle of Richard Hendricks, a Silicon Valley engineer trying to build his own company called Pied Piper. In the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success.
Will this be the final season for Silicon Valley?
There had been some rumblings via TVLine that Silicon Valley might be ending it’s run with the 6th season after some initial production delays. This very well might be the final season, although, unconfirmed by HBO. Some comments from executive producer Alec Berg suggests it could be ending very soon.
The decision comes amid speculation that Season 6 could be the last hurrah for Silicon Valley, which stars Thomas Middleditch, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods and Amanda Crew. An HBO insider maintains that no decision has been made on the show’s future beyond Season 6.
Following the show’s Season 4 finale, Berg hinted to TVLine that the end was likely near. “I can’t say we have [a specific end date] in mind, but we definitely for the first time are starting to talk about, “How long do you think this will continue…?” he told TVLine. “There is no definitive plan [to conclude the series], but we’re starting to think that maybe there are less shows left than there are in the can.”
A fall air date on HBO is very likely.
