MusicFilmReporter has revealed that the Halo live-action series has added composer Abel Korzeniowski (The Nun), who previously worked with Showtime on their series Penny Dreadful.

Abel Korzeniowski (A Single Man, The Nun, Penny Dreadful, Nocturnal Animals, W.E.) has been hired to score the upcoming Showtime original series Halo. 

The science fiction series is based on the popular Microsoft video game franchise.

The series centers on an interstellar war between humanity and an alliance of aliens known as the Covenant. The Covenant, led by their religious leaders called the Prophets, worship an ancient civilization known as the Forerunners, who perished while defeating the parasitic Flood.

Peaky Blinders’ Otto Bathurst will be directing the series after Rupert Wyatt exited over scheduling issues with the video game project.

Showtime hasn’t announced a release date but Halo is reportedly aiming to begin airing between January-April in 2021.
