Guy Ritchie’s next film Toff Guys is really starting to come together ahead of the start of its London shoot which is said to begin very soon. The crime flick will see Ritchie return to his Lock Stock/Snatch roots.
The pic explores the collision between old-money European wealth and the modern marijuana industrial complex with new gang entrants swarming.
We have learned that Aladdin costume designer Michael Wilkinson is expected to reunite with Guy Ritchie for Toff Guys. Michael’s other credits include films such as Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League, 300, Noah, Tron: Legacy, and Terminator Salvation.
This wouldn’t be the first Aladdin reunion for Ritchie, as I previously mentioned over at OmegaUnderground that the films’ cinematographer Alan Stewart and production designer Gemma Jackson (Game of Thrones) would be working on the movie.
Trades have previously reported that the cast of Toff Guys will consist of Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, Henry Golding, and Hugh Grant.
There is a good chance that Ritchie’s commitments here with Toff Guys means that he won’t be returning to direct Sherlock Holmes 3 for Warner Bros., which is said to be filming next year in London and Morocco.
Miramax has yet to give the film an official release date.
