‘Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2’ Cinematographer Henry Braham Confirmed For James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’

Yesterday, DiscussingFilm tweeted a new production crew addition to James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, mentioning that cinematographer Henry Braham (Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2, The Legend of Tarzan, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil) would be joining the DC Comics film.

HN Entertainment can confirm from our own sourcing that Henry Braham is indeed working on the film this fall.

The cast consists of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Idris Elba (possibly as Bronze Tiger), John Cena (possibly as Peacekeeper), David Dastmalchian as Polka Dot Man, and Daniela Melchior as Ratcatcher.

I’m really hoping that like with Joker and Birds of Prey that Warner Bros. allows James Gunn to be flexible with the rating since these movies should actually be given some wiggle room to be a bit more violence given the subject matter.

Filming is expected to take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

James Gunn is a busy guy lately as he’ll be expected to move directly into filming Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy 3 once he’s finished on The Suicide Squad. Reports have suggested that will take place sometime in 2020 (possibly fall/winter).

Warner Bros. has given The Suicide Squad a release date of August 6th, 2021.
