Deadline reports that the Marvel Television series Ghost Rider starring Gabriel Luna (Terminator: Dark Fate) as Robbie Reyes won’t be moving forward at Hulu over creative issues.
While Marvel’s Helstrom is on track, I hear Hulu and the Ghost Rider team had reached a creative impasse which could not be resolved, leading to the streamer’s decision not to move forward with the series.
The Helstrom series that is set to shoot in Vancouver is still a go.
HN Entertainment previously revealed that Australian director Daina Reid (The Handmaid’s Tale) will be working on an unknown amount of episodes for Helstrom.
This comes as rumors of Marvel Studios being interested in the character of Ghost Rider for feature films have been circulating recently.

Reyes isn’t the signature version of the Ghost Rider character as there are many different versions in Marvel Comics, the best known being Johnny Blaze. It remains to be seen what happens with the character ultimately and if they do indeed want to combine Rider with their Blade movie to open-up a horror corner of their Marvel Cinematic Universe with a Nightstalkers team-up movie.
Mahershala Ali’s Blade has teamed-up with Ghost Rider on multiple occasions to fight demonic threats.
Admittedly, Marvel did previously confirm that neither the Helstrom or Ghost Rider shows would be crossing over with the MCU or Disney+ shows, which seems odd considering how connective the Disney+ shows are to the movies.
