TNT seems to be extremely confident with their upcoming Snowpiercer series as they’re currently shooting the second season even before the first season has aired.

Deadline reports that Sean Bean (Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Rings, Ronin, Patriot Games, Game of Thrones) has taken an undisclosed in the dystopian comic book series starring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a 1001 car, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation based on the acclaimed movie and graphic novel series of the same name.

Other cast members on Snowpiercer include Alison Wright, Mickey Sumner, Susan Park, Iddo Goldberg, Katie McGuinness, Lena Hall, Annalise Basso, Sam Otto, Roberto Urbina, Sheila Vand, Jaylin Fletcher, Steven Ogg, and Rowan Blanchard.

I’m curious how long Sean Bean’s character will last as he’s notorious for dying on screen.

Production began this month in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and will wrap on March 20th.

The first season is expected to begin airing in the spring of next year on TNT.
