If he is correct, his means that Jumanji might begin its marketing with the debut of Spider-Man: Far From Home. It makes the most sense due to it sharing the same studio, Sony Pictures.
Knives Out directed by Rian Johnson is a different story, as it’s expected to be a gritty R-rated crime thriller and likely won’t be attached to Spider-Man.
Rian Johnson’s latest project boasts an all-star cast in Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Michael Shannon, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson and Christopher Plummer. Lionsgate, who is distributing the pic, debuted the trailer all the way back at CinemaCon earlier this year. It was praised for its gritty and funny take on the whodunnit murder mystery subgenre.
The sequel to 2017’s mega-hit Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle boasts a new title to go along with the impending marketing.
TrailerTrack revealed that the film is now called Jumanji: The Next Level after the trailer was rated and finished last week. The upcoming sequel sees Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Jack Black, and Nick Jonas return while adding newcomers Awkwafina, Danny DeVito, and Danny Glover.
