Rambo: Last Blood opens this weekend and is said to be the final chapter in the franchise, which was inspired by the novel First Blood written by author David Morrell, who created the Rambo character.
Well, in the wake of a wave of bad reviews for Rambo: Last Blood (currently 35% on RottenTomatoes) the author has responded after seeing the film for himself on his Twitter account.
Morrell says in his tweet “embarrassed to have my name associated with it”.
Far from a ringing endorsement.

This is strictly an opinion from one person, then again, it’s the person who did create the Rambo character that the franchise is based on.
It’s worth noting that people should make up their own opinions on a film and that happens by actually seeing it for themselves.
Almost four decades after he drew first blood, Sylvester Stallone is back as one of the greatest action heroes of all time, John Rambo. Now, Rambo must confront his past and unearth his ruthless combat skills to exact revenge in a final mission. A deadly journey of vengeance, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD marks the last chapter of the legendary series.
