Female predators still have yet to be revealed in the films and this could help usher in a female predator if 20th Century Fox decides to move forward with a new movie or series.
After the merger with Disney, the 20th Century Fox presentation at CinemaCon had a reel that highlighted their franchises that included Alien, Die Hard, Predator, Kingsman, Avatar, and Planet of The Apes.
Recently, it was revealed by the trades that Wes Ball would be directing a new Planet of The Apes movies, which could be a good sign for Predator and Alien as well. Bob Iger has been vocal over the last two years about making more Kingsman movies (an R-rated franchise) and leaving Deadpool an R-rated property.
When and where remains to be the question that needs to be answered.
Ridley Scott has suggested that he’s still working on a third Alien sequel/prequel film for the studios.
Meanwhile, Predator fans will have to wait and enjoy this new video game until something concrete is announced.
One group of players will control members of an elite Fireteam: who pack state-of-the-art conventional firepower, from shotguns and SMGs to sniper rifles and more.
One player will control the Predator: a stealthy, acrobatic killing machine bristling with exotic alien technology such as the infamous Plasmacaster.
As the Fireteam attempt to carry out paramilitary missions – annihilating bad guys and recovering important items – the Predator will be closing in, using its advanced vision mode to track and ambush its prey.
Predator: Hunting Grounds is set for release on April 24th, 2020.
