HN Entertainment has a crew update concerning Universal Pictures’ Fast and Furious 9, which will be directed by Justin Lin with Vin Diesel back in the driver’s seat as the film’s lead. We’ve learned that franchise stunt coordinator Spiro Razatos is coming back and is also expected to be the 2nd unit director as well.
His stunt coordinator credits include Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Furious 7, Captain America: Civil War, Kong: Island, Venom, and Bad Boys For Life.
Filming is going begin this summer at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England.
Vin Diesel recently teased on Instagram the possibly of adding John Cena to the cast (hasn’t been made official), who is likely being added as Dwayne Johnson confirmed to MTVNews at Sundance that he won’t be appearing in the film.
Michelle Rodriguez is expected to return but there hasn’t been a full cast announcement for the rest of the returns and new additions.
Universal Pictures recently gave the sequel a release date of May 22nd, 2020.
