On the heels of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, we have word concerning the summer production of Fantastic Beasts 3.
We have confirmed with production sources that the third installment of the five-part film series set in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World will indeed return to its production homestead at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in Leavesden, England.
Filming is said to begin sometime this July in the United Kingdom.
The British stage space has been home to a majority of the Harry Potter films and is expected to be one of the places that the upcoming Flash movie will film. It’s also hosted previous DC projects such as Justice League, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Woman 1984.
J.K. Rowling is currently developing scripts for Fantastic Beasts 4 and Fantastic Beasts 5.
Warner Bros. has set Fantastic Beasts 3’s release date for November 20th, 2020.
FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM
The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD
In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided world.
