During the Disney+ presentation of the Walt Disney Company’s Investors Day 2019 streaming event, it was confirmed that the title of their Marvel Studios streaming series featuring characters Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes will be officially titled Falcon and Winter Soldier.
The title card appeared during their demo of the Marvel section of the Disney+ streaming service interface.
The limited-series will star Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie as the two MCU heroes will be teaming up for their own adventures. It will be produced by Kevin Feige and Empire’s Malcolm Spellman, Spellman will also write the series.
Where the show will land in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has yet to be revealed, but since Bucky spent most of his time in Wakanda it’ll likely be taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Anthony Mackie is also leading another streaming series on Netflix with the second series of Altered Carbon.
It remains to be seen when they’ll begin filming Falcon and Winter Soldier, but it was interesting that it was the only Marvel Studios show to have a logo on the Disney+ presentation.
