Pre-production has been underway for a while now in England for Justin Lin’s Fast and The Furious 9 and we know where their stage location will be. HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that production on Fast 9 will be taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, Universal has shot projects at those facilities with Tom Cruise’s The Mummy and Tom Hooper’s musical Cats.

Previously, Fast 6 and Hobbs & Shaw filmed at Shepperton Studios.

A section of the filming is said to be taking place in Hawaii along with various secondary locations yet to be announced.

Franchise players Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Tyrese Gibson (has a role in Sony’s Morbius also filming in London and is expected to be completed when Fast 9 starts filming) are expected to reprise their roles. Dwayne Johnson confirmed during the Sundance Festival to MTVNews that he won’t be participating with this installment, but didn’t rule out coming back for Fast and Furious 10.

I’m curious if the London locale on Fast 9 will be used as an excuse to bring back Jason Statham and Vanessa Kirby.

Vin Diesel recently gave a production update via Instagram revealing that filming won’t be starting until late May or early June. That could have something to do with the film’s release date being bumped to late May, giving them a little extra prep time on the film.
