Yesterday, DiscussingFilm revealed that Sony Picture’s Venom 2 is eyeing a production start on November 18th in the United Kingdom.
We can back up the location in the report as HN Entertainment has exclusively confirmed that filming will be taking place at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, which is located in Watford, England.
The same location currently being used for Universal’s Fast and Furious 9 and was previously used for Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home. Other recent productions include The Witches, Wonder Woman 1984, and Men In Black: International.
While it’s known for the stage homestead of Warner Bros. properties such as Harry Potter franchise, the facility has been used for multiple productions from other studios.
Andy Serkis is officially directly from a script penned by Kelly Marcel with Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, and Woody Harrelson set to reprise their respective roles.
The sequel will be the first Spider-Man spinoff shot after the breakdown of the Sony/Marvel deal concerning the use of Spider-Man. It remains to be seen if we’ll end up seeing Tom Holland in the film as Peter Parker.
Sony Pictures has given Venom 2 a release date of October 2nd, 2020.
