HN Entertainment has been able to confirm that Paramount Pictures’ Snake Eyes, a spinoff of their G.I. Joe franchise has added stunt coordinator Kimani Ray Smith to the production team.
Kimani has a long history of various stunt credits including on Deadpool and Deadpool 2, but likely is best known as a stunt coordinator for television for projects like Wu Assassins, Van Helsing, and Snowpiercer.
Snake Eyes is an origin story of the silent badass member of the Joes.
There is a good chance that Snake Eyes along with the Chuckles-led third G.I. Joe movie will see Paramount Pictures reboot the action franchise.
We previously confirmed they’ve added Pacific Rim art director Andrew Li (A-Team, Star Trek Beyond).
Filming begins this October in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This would suggest that casting announcements are just around the corner and I wouldn’t be terribly shocked if a couple of those actors were part of the cast of Wu Assassins.
GWW pointed out on Twitter that cinematographer Bojan Bazelli (6 Underground, A Cure For Wellness, Spectral) is listed on IMDB as joining the film too.
